Bulgarian Monuments, 2008
Series of 12 Photograph, 90 x 72 cm and 72 x 90 cm, Edition of 5 + 2 A.P.
Bulgaria is one example for a post communist state, where one could find many outdated monuments still representing the ideology of communist power. After the cultural turn in 1989 the character of thosee monuments changed. They were destroyed or abandoned and thus altered their appearance. In my photos I show different states of their variation and by doing so put a question mark over the value of those relicts.
